Another person has been brought up on serious criminal charges following the discovery of an adult man’s corpse near Red Cloud Park in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The details behind the discovery of the body have revealed a web of drug use and a conspiracy to avoid criminal charges. Now, a 59-year-old man has been arrested in connection with hiding the corpse and police are still seeking another suspect.
Thus far, police have made three other arrests in the case; a 56-year-old father and his 25-year-old son and a 37-year-old woman. As of now, there are no formal charges against the three, but they did appear in court last week for bond hearings. Authorities have not said much, but court documents indicate that the newly arrested 59-year-old man is somehow connected to the disposal of the victim’s body, which the suspects are accused of hiding after the man allegedly died while using drugs. The suspects purportedly attempted to get rid of the body because they did not want to get in trouble for giving him the drugs that led to his death.
A 19-year-old man is still at large and wanted for questioning in conjunction with allegedly supplying the trio of suspects and the victim with drugs. Police believe the young man may have information that pertains to their continuing investigation. Police have not yet pinpointed the area where the young man may be, but have said they have several leads.
Criminal charges can result from a series of convoluted events. Chaos and confusion can result in poor decisions in a lack of understanding when it comes to litigation. Qualified legal counsel may be able to help people involved in situations that are spiraling out of their control.
